On a busy afternoon in the spring of 1986, the Austin, Texas police department receives a letter from a small town down south by the name of Hasenheim, just shy of 200 residents. A resident had been murdered in cold blood in the middle of the night, and the locals are shaken to their core. Being such a small town, there's only two officers in their department. They request help, and the APD assembles a task force; Eugene Bishop, Louise Mulberry, Clark Murphy, and their rookie, Jesse Del Mar. Through careful investigations and interviews, the detectives begin to notice inconsistencies in the local's stories, and they're beginning to suspect they might now a lot more than they're letting on...
